VLS Checking Air Assist Hose

To check if the air assist hose is aligned correctly.
1. Disconnect the system power and USB 
2. Remove the back panel (Two 3/32 hex screws one on each side under the panel).


3. Remove laser tube (Two 3/32 screws and cable)
The laser tube is heavy and very fragile.
Keep in a safe place. 



4. Remove front panel (Six hex screws total. Two 9/64 on back top. One 3/32 under in the front for each side)




Before removing the panel you will need to disconnect the front buttons.
The connector is a grey wire directly under the buttons.
There is a tab you must press in towards the front of the laser on the plug.



5. Remove side covers for the x-axis (Two small Philips head screws on back side on each)


6. Remove x-axis hinge cover (Four 3/32 hex screws two on each side under side covers removed in step 5)


7. Remove air assist cover (Fourteen small Phillips head screws)


8. Check air assist tubing should be parallel with the X-axis 

9. Loosen flat head screw on carriage realign the air assist tube and re-tighten the flat head screw

10. Reassemble the laser in the reverse order (be sure not to over tighten any screws)
