Transferring or Activating/Reactivating a SolidWorks License in the SolidNetWork License Manager

In certain scenarios, you may need to reactivate or transfer your SolidWorks license on your SolidNetWork License Manager application. Common scenarios include if you wish to transfer your license to a new server or if you are having licensing issues and receiving error messages. This is a simple process that requires you to have access to the computer/server that is running the SolidNetWork License Manager. If you have your serial number, you can send this to us and we can look up which computer this software is running on for you. Once you log on to this computer follow the instructions below:

1. Open the SolidNetWork License Manager by going to the Start Menu, then to Programs and scroll down to SolidWorks Tools, then click SolidNetWork License Manager:



2. Click the Modify Button:



3. Select what you want to do - transfer if you wish to move the license to a different server, activate/reactivate if are having issues and wish to refresh the license:
