When changing media, be sure to adjust the calibrations or use the machine's "presets" functionality to adjust the feed calibration and bi-directional calibration. If using a calendered media, also adjust the cut configuration (force/speed), as well as the print/cut adjustment (cut position). Those tests/adjustments can be found here:
Checking print nozzle condition: Function > Cleaning > Test Print - If you have less than 3-5 missing nozzles per color, proceed to the rest of the adjustments. If you have more than 5, perform a normal cleaning from the Cleaning menu and then reprint the nozzle test.
You can do these tests every time you change the media, or you can use the "presets" functionality. If you press "Menu" and then go to "media setting", the printer will walk you through these adjustments. Once those adjustments are made, you can save them to a preset to use again later. You'd save one preset for each different type of media you use.
Calibrate feed settings: You'll be taken to this option automatically during the media setting process or to adjust it alone, go to Menu > Calibration > Test print. The reading and adjustment of this test print is detailed on page 94 of the user manual.
Adjust bi-directional calibration: You'll be taken to this option automatically during the media setting process or to adjust it alone, go to Menu > Media Gap Adj > Test print. The reading and adjustment of this test print is detailed on page 96 of the user manual.
Set the blade force: You'll be taken to this option automatically during the media setting process or to adjust it alone, go to Function > Cut Config > Test cut. The reading and adjustment of this test cutis detailed on page 97 of the user manual.
Set alignment of the printing and cutting positions: You'll be taken to this option automatically during the media setting process or to adjust it alone, go to Menu > Cutting Menu > Print-Cut Adj > Test print. The reading and adjustment of this test print is detailed on page 99 of the user manual.
