F123 Series Front Interface Board Screw Removal

A mounting bracket screw may contact and cause problems with components of the F123 Series front interface board. Remove and discard this mounting bracket screw. Click any picture below to see it full size.

To perform this procedure you will need:
2.5MM hex wrench
Step ladder (optional)
User guide (PDF attached)

1. Start by opening the top cover.
To do this you must open the front door first.

2. Locate the 5 hex mounting screws towards the front of the printer inside the top cover.
Using a 2.5mm hex wrench remove the 5 hex mounting screws that secure the display mounting bezel to the printer frame.











3. Carefully rest the display mounting bezel on the printer by tilting it away from the printer. Remove the 6 screws circled in red below. You will also need to remove the USB connections which may require removing a zip tie or removing a screw connected to the zip tie. Note that the USBs are locked into the board with a tab. You will need to be gentle with these tabs and the USB cables.


4. Once the you have these screws removed, lift up the front interface board and remove the screw circled in red in the picture below and discard it.


5. Follow the steps in reverse to reassemble. When reassembling be sure to not over tighten the screws.
