Changes to the SolidWorks Customer Portal

Changes to the SolidWorks Customer Portal

SolidWorks has recently migrated their backend systems over to a completely new platform. These changes have caused the previous Customer Portal and Admin Portal to no longer function.
Here is how you complete the most common tasks within the new system. This is continuing to evolve as they are continuing to build out the new system.

Download Your Software
To access your downloads now, visit: https://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/downloads.htm
You will log in using the same username and password you used to use to log into customerportal.solidworks.com

Admin Portal
A new admin portal is being built and should be available later on this year. Users with the Security Admin role should automatically have access to the new admin portal once it is released.
For now, users that are assigned the Security Admin role will be able to manage the users associated with the account (add/obsolete/assign roles) within the Contract Administration page in DSX Client.

To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Go to https://dsxclient.3ds.com/ and login with the same username and password you used to login to the old Customer Portal
  2. Once logged in, check your Roles. This should appear in the My Dashboard section:
  3. If you have Security Admin role, you should be able to go to Main Menu > Contact Administration. This will allow you to assign additional roles to other users. If you do not have this role, let us know what your username is and we can open an SR (service request) with SolidWorks to have this role added to your account.

If you need something else, or are having any issues with the steps above, please let us know what you need and we will work to find a solution for you.
